SALAD FOR SOULS
GIFT CULTURE AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMME
The Bhagwad Gita says, ‘That gift which is made to one who can make no return, with the feeling that it is one’s duty to give, is held to be saatvik.’ The Gita encourages selfless service to grow spiritually; thus, it is closely linked to the concept of karma yoga.
The salads for soul bar intended to spread the art of generosity, Seva.
Salads for soul is a community engagement program focusing on Seva (act of giving selflessly) and creating awareness on relevant issues was conducted by Levellers Foundation in collaboration with Cure Diab at Japanese garden, Nagpur
The combined initiative of serving salad for the soul and spreading awareness about relevant topics with research oriented panel fosters a meaningful communty engagement programme. On one end we are promoting gift culture and seva and at the same time we are educating people and allowing for open discussions on topics such as flood safety, global warming and its impact. We aim to do more of salad for souls initiatives in order to engage with the general public in food distribution and awakening them on relevant issues.
